What to expect?

Moving from here

It may have been really difficult for you to get to this point, where you are now considering working with a counsellor

No doubt you will have seen lots of names, faces, approaches and techniques. That in itself can be quite overwhelming.

It is important you find the right counsellor for you so feel free to talk to and meet with more than one counsellor before making your choice.

Making contact

Once you've decided counselling might be helpful for you and that I could be the right person to work with you, please call, message or email me (Contact Us) and I will arrange a conversation with you to introduce myself.

If you leave a message for me, please make it clear whether it is ok for me to ask for you if I call,  leave a message for you or to email. You can suggest a time for me to contact you.

If you are enquiring about Couples or Relationship counselling, please include the other person where you can so that you can both experience the  same journey.

Meeting for an introductory session

If you would like to go ahead, we will schedule a full  introductory session. There is no charge for our first full session.

We'll use this time for you to learn more about the counselling process,  how it might support you and to answer any questions you might have. I'll talk about how I work and if you feel comfortable, we'll explore a little more about what's on you mind or what's going on for you.

Hopefully this will help you to decide whether to begin counselling with me.

Working together

Once you decide to continue with counselling, can we arrange meetings to suit you

I'll ask you to read through and agree to my client agreement, which is there so that both parties know what to expect from the counselling sessions and to keep us safe . It is usual practice for counsellors to have an agreement with their clients

You can change your mind at any time.
