I retrained as a counsellor after an interesting and challenging career as a Business Analyst. I have an adult family and plenty of life experience. I have worked in the voluntary sector and have many passions and interests. Having experienced therapy myself, I am moved by how effective talk therapy can be. I hope that I can bring the same relief to others.
I am constantly learning about our wonderful and different brains, how they serve us and can let us down and how they impact our entire body and demeanour.
I work as a person-centred integrative counsellor and have specialist training in somatic trauma therapy and working with couples. This might sound daunting, but simply put, means that we work together using a combination of approaches. These might include understanding what is going on for you in the here-and-now, your past and how your emotions might be affecting you physically.
