What brought you here today?

Maybe there's something particular that's brought you here today? Something on your mind or it could be you're feeling stuck. Or it could be that a relationship has changed for the worse. Maybe you have a new diagnosis and are not sure yet what that means for you. We all have times when life makes it hard to know what to think, where to turn, how to be.

Things can unravel with or without reason and it can feel as though we're going mad. Whether you are left feeling hopeless, alone or overwhelmed, or you feel agitated, ashamed, bewildered, flat, numb or angry, you are probably experiencing any one of the huge range of human responses to life's challenges.

Counselling can help you you as an individual or as a pair. Sessions will help you to understand what's going on for you and may help you to work out how to better deal with the responses you are experiencing. You might feel there are changes you'd like to make; counselling can help you to understand how these might work out for you. If you're attending as a couple, we can work together to understand the relationship dynamics and what might be causing distress.

What is counselling?

Counselling or talking therapy gives you an opportunity to look at what's going on for you on a one-to-one basis or as a pair, in a safe and confidential space, helping you make sense of and deal with what ever it is that is troubling you.

Sessions usually last an hour and can be in-person, online or by telephone.

I currently offer in-person sessions in Bristol (Henbury) and East Devon (Budleigh Salterton).

What I offer

I work with individuals (over 18) and with couples or pairs who are experiencing relationship challenges (such as parent and adult child)

I am a qualified person-centred integrative counsellor. This might sound daunting, but simply put, means that we work together using a combination of approaches.

These might include understanding what is going on for you in the here-and-now, your past and how your emotions might be affecting you physically.

Where and When

How we might work together

We can meet in person at my private office in Bristol or my therapy room in East Devon. Or we can meet on-line or by phone.

Fitting regular sessions around work or other responsibilities can be difficult; I can offer evening and weekend sessions in Bristol and for on-line or telephone counselling . You can choose regular sessions or book sessions as you go.

Sessions usually last 1 hour.

Availability

I currently have some in-person availability in both Bristol and East Devon with evening and weekend availability for Bristol appointments and for on-line or telephone counselling.

I offer counselling for anyone over 18.

My standard fee is £50 per hour for individuals and £75 for couples / pairs. Please do not let affordability be a barrier to you.
